We are so excited to announce that St. Brigid won the School of Character Award. We won this award because of all the things we do at St. Brigid that demonstrate positive character traits and help build community. We were recognized for our work with the Legacy Project, which pairs community seniors with students in a variety of ways – from having them read with young students, work on math with older ones and together, revitalize the school’s front flower gardens. St. Brigid’s integrity and compassion is evident in both the local and global fundraising campaigns we support, which have included Markham Stouffville Hospital, Terry Fox Foundation, Heart & Stroke, as well as disaster relief for countries experiencing natural disasters.
